EMDR Therapy

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an interactive psychotherapy technique used to relieve psychological stress. It is an effective treatment for trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder, addiction, anxiety and depression and eating disorders.

During EMDR therapy sessions, you relive traumatic or triggering experiences in brief doses while the therapist directs your eye movements. Over time, this technique is shown to lessen the impact that the memories have on you.

The Department of Veterans Affairs strongly recommends EMDR as a treatment option for veterans living with PTSD.
