My Services

As a psychotherapist trained in Jungian Depth Psychology, I am naturally curious about the psyche, unconscious processes, and the human experience.

As a registered and experienced Yoga Teacher, I love to explore the connection between the mind and body and spirit.

As a recognized Mindfulness Instructor, I find the training of the mind and the potential therein to awaken to our own source of wisdom and healing to be fascinating.

Whether it's traditional psychotherapy that you're looking for, or perhaps a journey into myth and psyche, my rigorous academic training ensures that you will be met by a professional counsellor trained in Marriage and Family Therapy, Mindfulness, and Yoga.

Individual, Couples and Family Therapy

We live in a world of relationships. With ourselves, our partners and spouses, our parents, brothers and sisters, as well as other family members, friends, colleagues and our community at large. Therapy can be helpful and freeing for individuals, couples or families experiencing challenges at any time in their life. It can help make life bearable and consciously self-directed once again.

Through individual, couple, or family therapy sessions my goal is to address perspectives, thought processes and behaviours through the power of transformative recognition and change. My aim is to help imbue and evolve a sense of freedom and strength that can enable those in therapy to move forward and live more empowering, positive, happy, stress reduced and fulfilling lives.

Mindfulness Based

Mindfulness-based therapies allow us to learn how to tune into the body sensations, thoughts and emotions that are unfolding in the present. They train ourselves to become aware of our reactions, our likes and dislikes and to realize we have control over how things make us feel. Mindfulness has the ability to change the hard wiring of the brain that causes us to instantly respond to people and events on a base emotional level, instead of on a more thoughtful platform and plane. Being more aware in the moment and accepting our thoughts and feelings, but not becoming attached to them or immediately reacting, is a learned and practiced skill that can benefit people of all ages. Practiced often, it can become one of our most valuable habits and traits.

Yoga and Meditation

Yoga – a word that means union – is an age-old holistic practise that enables us to advance the unity of the body, mind and soul based on the underlying principle that our wellness encompasses physical, mental, emotional and spiritual elements. While there are many different variations, many people have largely come to see yoga today as exercise and relaxation achieved through stretching and the striking and holding of different postures… but it is so much more.

Meditation also encompasses a variety of practises and goals, but is non-physical and generally employed to further enhance mental relaxation and concentration by turning our attention inward, calming the mind and focussing it on a singular thought or element.

The purpose of yoga and meditation combined is to bring together all aspects of the mind, body and spirit. To allow us the opportunity to observe, accept, understand, and train each element that comprises what we are, towards realizing optimum balance and uniting the individual consciousness with that which is universal.
